A 49-year-old female with no personal medical history attended the otorhinolaryngology consultation at the Dr. Rafael Hernandez Regional Hospital due to a history of a tumor in the right paranasal sinuses with evidence of bone destruction at the base of the skull and cribriform plate diagnosed by a brain CT scan, associated with acute sinusitis. A first endoscopic biopsy was performed with inconclusive results. The patient was readmitted for a second biopsy, which indicated that it was an undifferentiated carcinoma with a high malignant risk. The management of this patient's cancer included 3 cycles of chemotherapy, with doxorubicin and cisplatin being the drugs used, in order to achieve cytoreduction of the tumor to improve the results after total resection of the tumor by surgeons specializing in head and neck surgery and the support of the neurosurgery department.
