Instructions for Authors
The journal accepts original and unpublished articles that have not been published in any print or electronic source and are not under review in other journals, which propose a scientific contribution in different fields of knowledge within the Social Sciences. Manifest fraud constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable for the journal. Any violation of this policy allows the Editorial Board to reserve the right to reject future submissions from the same author.
Articles submitted to the journal must comply with the publication standards established by the Editorial Board. The author(s) must submit their manuscripts through OJS and sign the author’s commitment letter. In parallel, they must send it to the journal’s email.
Authors of articles published in the Ibero-American Journal of Scientific Innovation JA TUAIDA transfer publishing rights to the Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí. The ownership of moral and intellectual property rights belongs to and will continue to belong to the author and co-authors.
The topics of the articles must be original and of high research quality. Articles may be written in Spanish, English, or Portuguese and may address topics in the following fields of knowledge: administration, human resources, finance, accounting, tourism, languages, education, sociology, psychology, neurosciences, law, anthropology, economics, political science, social work, communication, information and communication technologies, and innovation.
Manuscripts submitted for publication may include: original articles, systematic review articles, literature review articles, scientific essays, and book reviews (published within the last 5 years) within the aforementioned fields of knowledge.
Authors must guarantee that they have no conflict of interest based on the works submitted to this journal.
On Contributions
Manuscripts and other contributions submitted to the Ibero-American Journal of Scientific Innovation JA TUAIDA must be sent in electronic format using word processors: Microsoft Word or Open Word (not PDF), in updated APA style, preferably Arial font, size 12, without spacing, with line spacing of 1.5, and margins of 2.54 cm on all sides.

▣ Original Articles and Systematic Reviews
According to the APA (American Psychological Association) classification, this category includes empirical study reports (original research reports), reviews (see literature reviews below), theoretical articles (theoretical developments or new theoretical proposals), methodological articles (discussion of existing methods), or case studies (descriptions based on work with an individual or organization).
Length: 4,000–7,000 words.
Structure:

▣ Literature Review Articles
Review articles describe the state of the art of a topic or problem, updating the bibliography, debates, and trends, synthesizing main lines, noting consistencies and inconsistencies, and proposing new perspectives.
Length: 3,000–6,000 words.
Structure:

Title (maximum 15 words). Subtitle optional.

Abstract (200–300 words).

Keywords (4–6).
(All in Spanish, Portuguese, and English).
Below the title: author’s name, institution, email, and ORCID code.
Date of completion of the work (the journal will add dates of submission and acceptance).
Body: The organization depends on the categories and criteria applied. It is expected to include an introduction (context, importance of the review, and main lines), a development section (organized by categories/criteria), and conclusions (observations and projections).
References: Minimum 35.
▣ Scientific Essays
Essays must be based on systematic, rigorous, empirical, and verifiable research, written in a narrative style that avoids monotony.
Structure:

Title (no acronyms or clarifications). Subtitle optional.

Abstract (maximum 250 words).

Keywords (maximum 5).
(All in Spanish, Portuguese, and English).
Below the title: author’s name, institution, email, and ORCID code.
Sections: Introduction (context, objectives, state of the art, research question/position); Development (arguments, contrasts, supported by classic and current theorists); Conclusion (summary of arguments, evaluation of ideas, or author’s position with arguments).
References: Minimum 20.
▣ Book Reviews
Book reviews must include: title of the book, author(s), place of publication, publisher, year, and number of pages.
Length: Maximum 2,000 words.
Provide: reviewer’s name, institution, email, and ORCID code.
If the book is cited in the review, only page numbers should be indicated (p./pp.). If other works are cited, they should appear in References at the end of the review, following the journal’s guidelines.
Book reviews will be evaluated and approved by members of the Editorial Committee by majority vote.
